Real (Aust) Pty Ltd is a Victorian based tour operator, servicing the needs of exchange and international students in Melbourne Universities.
Our services are designed to encourage exchange and international students to experience Australia by exploring Australian landscapes, meeting Australians, and living the Australian way of life.
Our tours offer transport and accommodation packages to enable exchange and international students to experience Australia. We also offer a range of guided services such as bush walks and beach activities.
By transport we mean movement from a specified location to one or more other specified locations, where students may or may not involve themselves in an activity or activities either offered by an organization external to Real (Aust) Pty Ltd or not. For these activities Real (Aust) Pty Ltd takes no responsibility whatsoever.
Such activities may include, but are not limited to; swimming, surfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, paintballing, sky diving and other extreme sports and adventure activities.
By stating that we offer accommodation services we mean that we research, book and fund through sales, appropriate lodging in a specified location. Real (Aust) Pty Ltd therefore acts as an intermediary between the students and the accommodation supplier. We simply recommend an accommodation supplier and transport our clients to and from the accommodation supplier. Real (Aust) Pty Ltd takes no responsibility for the actions of clients in relation to their use of the lodging.
By signing the Indemnity Form the client agrees to participate in the particular tour offered. The client agrees therefore to go to all arranged locations via the transport means offered and lodge at the arranged accommodation. At each location the client is responsible for the activities they chose to involve themselves in.
Some organised locations may be remote and secluded. Therefore, by signing the Indemnity Form the client agrees to participate in the tour being aware of the associated risks. Cancelation and Refunds
Real (Aust) Pty Ltd reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. Real (Aust) Pty Ltd can’t guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage.
For our Victorian tours, if a cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to the trip, you will receive a full refund. Cancellation 9 days prior to the event will result in a 90% refund, 8 days before results in a 75% refund. Cancellation between 3 – 7 days prior to the trip will result in a 50% refund. However, cancellation within 2 days of the trip, or failure to show up on the day of the tour will result in 100% forfeiture of the tour fare. This is due to the nature of our business, as different suppliers must be booked in advance.
With our Interstate or International tours, our refund policy will be listed on the sign-up page for the trip.
If there is a cancellation to a trip, any relevant ‘Special Deals’ that were applicable will no longer be redeemable.
If we run into any unforeseen issues such as bus mechanical issues, or other issues outside of our control which prevent us from attending a planned activity, we will do our best to compensate our customers. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our work, not all issues are foreseeable and controllable.
Late Invoice Payments
In the situation where an invoice has been sent out, the recipient must pay close attention to the due date listed on the invoice and have payment (along with the remittance) sent by the date listed.
If for whatever reason we have not received payment by the date listed, you will be given a 30-day grace period, where you MUST make payment to avoid late fees being added.
After the payment is more than 30 days late, a late fee worth 3% of the overall amount due will be added every fortnight between 30 and 90 days until payment is made. (Late fee could equal 3% x 4 fortnights in this period.)
If payment is STILL NOT received after 90 days from the due date, you will continue receiving an additional 3% late fee each fortnight. We will also be forced to escalate this invoice to our legal team at this stage.
Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond our control. Passengers should note that adventure travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release will be required from all participants before tour departure.
Travel insurance is NOT included, we strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed departure date.
Smoking and Drinking
Australian Government regulations prohibit smoking and the drinking of alcohol inside tourist vehicles in Australia (smoking and drinking should be limited to stops along the route).
